Projection Screen FAQs

1. What is a 16:9 projection screen?
Projector screens come in at least three different aspect ratios: 4:3, 16:9, and 2:35:1. A projector screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9 will have 16 units of width to every 9 units of height. Most flat panel TVs, computer monitors, and projector now utilize this aspect ratio with content in resolution like UHD (3840 x 2160) and HD (1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720).
2. What does a projection screen do?
The projection screen is a special reflective fabric (natural or synthetic), flat and smooth, where the images of the projectors must be displayed, they guarantee a clearer image, and consequently, you will have better visibility in the reproduction of these images. Choosing a good projection screen is just as important as choosing a good projector, after all, it will help you ensure a better quality image (with more or less brightness).
3. Does projector screen size matter?

Yes, it does. A screen that is too big for its setting will be challenging for you to see in its fullness. And if you are too close to the screen, you may have to strain your eyes or move your heads sideways to see the full image. However, a screen size that is too small can also be unsatisfying as you may not get that immersive movie experience.
4. How big should my projection screen be?
It will depend on your pocket, the space (place) you have at home and the capacity of your projector, there are several sizes on the market, so take the measuring tape and measure it right so you don't buy wrong. Those who live in a house and apartment and want a big screen usually use screens from 90 to 120 inches, but nothing will stop you from having a home theater (with a 300 inch screen).
5. What are the different types of projection screens?
Here are some of the most common types of projection screens: projection screen with tripod, fixed projection screen, floor projection screen, retractable projection screen, electric projection screen, tensioned screen, ALR and CLR screen. You can choose a type according to your needs.
6. How to clean a projection screen?
Normally, you may use a damp microfiber cloth with warm soapy water to clean the material.  Don’t be too firm when applying the cloth but it will clean out. Follow this up with a second microfiber cloth that is dry to remove all the moisture from the screen. Always wipe in a left-to-right motion. Never make circular-wipes.
